When the late Guccio Gucci opened his little leather good store in Florence in 1921 and made his vision of beautiful leather accessories become physical he could not have guessed what a moment full of history this was: The hour of birth of the "House of Gucci", better known as GUCCI!

Gucci started experimenting with alternative materials like bamboo and linen in their fashion lines, therefore setting innovative accents as early as in the 1940s. The Italian luxury label with its signature logo of two intertwined "G"s became rather popular among the great divas of the 1960s being a synonym for elegance and grace.
